Jasmine is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate, supervised by Barry Levit. She holds two Master’s degrees from the University of Pennsylvania in Mental Health and in Counseling Services, and further earned a Master’s of Divinity Degree from Westminster Theological Seminary in Pennsylvania. Over the past 10 years, Jasmine has worked as a mental health counselor in many different settings including public and private schools, a community counseling center, church, and private practice. She provides services to individuals (ages 10 and up), couples, and families. Born and raised in China, Jasmine is a native Chinese speaker, speaks a dialect similar to Shanghainese, and is also fluent in English.

Jasmine met the Lord during her school years at the University of Pennsylvania, and found that the Word of God is powerful to mend, heal, and free sufferers. Because of this, she believes that a good therapist has to be a good listener who is also a trusted companion on what can be a difficult life journey. She is eager to know her clients as who they are, to listen to their stories and to learn their goals. Her role is not to change her clients, but to empower them and lead them to the ultimate Helper for comfort and power to make lasting changes in their lives.

Barry is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Washington and provides a range of mental health services in an outpatient, private practice setting.

Barry is a “seasoned” counselor providing services to individuals, couples, and families. He addresses issues, both acute and chronic, involving trauma, mood, adjustment, relationships, and addictions. He draws from a number of therapeutic methods and find that among them all, relationship is the most important factor in the change process.

In his career, he has worked in a variety of settings including Community Mental Health, Private Practice, Child Custody, Adoption and Foster Care, Juvenile Justice and Addiction Rehabilitation. Barry has lived and worked in a number of States and has done the same with different Cultures.

The philosophy that guides my work is that all Human Beings deserve respect in our attempts to navigate a very complicated world. I believe we are all doing our best at all times and that our earliest relationships have a very significant effect on our best efforts. I believe that counseling is a healthy way to learn new and perhaps more effective ways to have the life you seek.
