Meet Our Health Care Professionals

Julie Roberts
MA, LCPC, LMHC
*Julie currently sees clients in MD both in-person and online and clients in WA solely via Telehealth*
Julie earned her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Regent University in 2018. She has worked in private practice, as well as in community mental health settings. She works with a variety of different clients dealing with issues such as anxiety, depression and trauma.
I think every client has a story that they want to tell and feel very deeply about learning about my clients. I want to know where they come from, what got them to where they are today and where they want to be in their lives. I am ready to take that journey with each of them. I am passionate about helping them achieve whatever goals they are trying to. Julie has recently moved to Maryland from Washington and is fortunate to provide services to clients in both states, being dual licensed.
I believe in looking at our well-being from a holistic approach and incorporating a client’s spirituality into treatment. I work from a relational, client-centered approach. My therapy focuses on empowering the client to achieve a sense of self-acceptance, self-confidence and using their strengths and the resources available to them in affecting change. The client/counselor relationship is based on mutuality and equality. We will work together on understanding the problem, assessment and treatment.

Jasmine Gao
MA, LMHCA
*Jasmine currently sees clients both in-person at our Edmond's office and via Telehealth*
Jasmine is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate, supervised by Barry Levit. She holds two Master’s degrees from the University of Pennsylvania in Mental Health and in Counseling Services, and further earned a Master’s of Divinity Degree from Westminster Theological Seminary in Pennsylvania. Over the past 10 years, Jasmine has worked as a mental health counselor in many different settings including public and private schools, a community counseling center, church, and private practice. She provides services to individuals (ages 10 and up), couples, and families. Born and raised in China, Jasmine is a native Chinese speaker, speaks a dialect similar to Shanghainese, and is also fluent in English.
Jasmine met the Lord during her school years at the University of Pennsylvania, and found that the Word of God is powerful to mend, heal, and free sufferers. Because of this, she believes that a good therapist has to be a good listener who is also a trusted companion on what can be a difficult life journey. She is eager to know her clients as who they are, to listen to their stories and to learn their goals. Her role is not to change her clients, but to empower them and lead them to the ultimate Helper for comfort and power to make lasting changes in their lives.

The philosophy that guides my work is that all Human Beings deserve respect in our attempts to navigate a very complicated world. I believe we are all doing our best at all times and that our earliest relationships have a very significant effect on our best efforts. I believe that counseling is a healthy way to learn new and perhaps more effective ways to have the life you seek.
