Julie Roberts

MA, LCPC, LMHC

*Julie currently sees clients in MD both in-person and online and clients in WA solely via Telehealth*

Julie earned her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Regent University in 2018. She has worked in private practice, as well as in community mental health settings. She works with a variety of different clients dealing with issues such as anxiety, depression and trauma.

I think every client has a story that they want to tell and feel very deeply about learning about my clients. I want to know where they come from, what got them to where they are today and where they want to be in their lives. I am ready to take that journey with each of them. I am passionate about helping them achieve whatever goals they are trying to. Julie has recently moved to Maryland from Washington and is fortunate to provide services to clients in both states, being dual licensed.

I believe in looking at our well-being from a holistic approach and incorporating a client’s spirituality into treatment. I work from a relational, client-centered approach. My therapy focuses on empowering the client to achieve a sense of self-acceptance, self-confidence and using their strengths and the resources available to them in affecting change. The client/counselor relationship is based on mutuality and equality. We will work together on understanding the problem, assessment and treatment.

Jasmine Gao

MA, LMHCA

*Jasmine currently sees clients both in-person at our Edmond's office and via Telehealth*

Jasmine is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate, supervised by Barry Levit. She holds two Master’s degrees from the University of Pennsylvania in Mental Health and in Counseling Services, and further earned a Master’s of Divinity Degree from Westminster Theological Seminary in Pennsylvania. Over the past 10 years, Jasmine has worked as a mental health counselor in many different settings including public and private schools, a community counseling center, church, and private practice. She provides services to individuals (ages 10 and up), couples, and families. Born and raised in China, Jasmine is a native Chinese speaker, speaks a dialect similar to Shanghainese, and is also fluent in English.

Jasmine met the Lord during her school years at the University of Pennsylvania, and found that the Word of God is powerful to mend, heal, and free sufferers. Because of this, she believes that a good therapist has to be a good listener who is also a trusted companion on what can be a difficult life journey. She is eager to know her clients as who they are, to listen to their stories and to learn their goals. Her role is not to change her clients, but to empower them and lead them to the ultimate Helper for comfort and power to make lasting changes in their lives.

Barry Levit

MS, LMHC

An affiliate of Sanctuary Psychological Services.

*Barry currently sees clients solely via Telehealth*

Barry is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Washington and provides a range of mental health services in an outpatient, private practice setting.

Barry is a “seasoned” counselor providing services to individuals, couples, and families. He addresses issues, both acute and chronic, involving trauma, mood, adjustment, relationships, and addictions. He draws from a number of therapeutic methods and find that among them all, relationship is the most important factor in the change process.

In his career, he has worked in a variety of settings including Community Mental Health, Private Practice, Child Custody, Adoption and Foster Care, Juvenile Justice and Addiction Rehabilitation. Barry has lived and worked in a number of States and has done the same with different Cultures.

The philosophy that guides my work is that all Human Beings deserve respect in our attempts to navigate a very complicated world. I believe we are all doing our best at all times and that our earliest relationships have a very significant effect on our best efforts. I believe that counseling is a healthy way to learn new and perhaps more effective ways to have the life you seek.

Amy Martella

MS, LMFT

My name is Amy Martella and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I am an avid San Francisco 49ers fan and I enjoy being outside with my husband, son, and our goofy dog, Remy. I also enjoy volunteering at my church, eating delicious food, reading, and traveling to new places.

I knew that being a therapist was what I wanted to do from the time I was in high school. I always seemed to be the one my friends and family came to talk to! So I knew that I not only wanted to help people, but it was something I had the ability to do. As I worked on my education and then started my work with clients, I realized it is more than just helping others. It is the resiliency of us as people and seeing clients bravely stepping outside their comfort zone and into change and growth that is so exciting and fulfilling. I love working with adolescents and adults - getting to know them, seeing their sense of humor, strengths, passions, and goals. I feel truly blessed to accompany my clients on this journey and grateful that they invite me to join them.

Amy sees clients throughout Washington state via online therapy.
